Event
Energy transition policy objectives aim at a strong development of renewable sources, particularly wind and photovoltaics. However, the non-programmable nature of these technologies poses challenges for the stability and security of the electrical grid. To support the development of renewables and ensure a reliable and resilient energy system, it is therefore necessary to integrate flexibility solutions and services capable of balancing production and demand in real time.
The event will be an opportunity to present and discuss the AGICI Renewables Study 2026, which analyzes the role and potential of flexibility in support of RES. In particular, the main technologies and solutions for flexibility will be explored, such as energy storage systems, Demand Response, and digitalization, as key elements for increasingly efficient energy management. Special attention will be devoted to the analysis of the market, with a focus on regulatory evolution, remuneration mechanisms, the players involved, and the barriers and opportunities influencing its growth.
